Privacy Policy

Matinee is a free tool that helps you discover movies and series. We collect the minimum necessary to make the product work.

What we store

• Your email address and authentication state (via Supabase Auth).
• Your taste preferences (genres, moods, streaming services).
• The movies you swipe on and save to your watchlist.
• Movie night session data (swipes, matches) while sessions are active.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your data.
• We don’t show ads.
• We don’t share your swipe history with anyone other than your paired partner.

Movie data

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability data is provided by JustWatch.

Deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion removes your profile, taste preferences, watchlist, swipe history, and any partner links. It can’t be undone.
